From Mamalahoa Highway, Hwy 19: between mile marker 15 (from Hilo) and 16 (from Waimea), look for highway sign Wailea/Hakalau and the pedestrian overpass walkway. Turn left up Mauka and you will be on Chin chuck Rd. Go up approx 1 1/2 miles. Pass the K-9 training sign on the left. In approx 1/4 mile after that you will see a paved road to the left, there is an informal Kanna Rd sign at the corner. Street light and fire hydrant on the corner as well. Turn left, pass the two houses near the corner, go down the road to the gate on the right with a sign, Ha Lau Leo Nani. Come in the gate and park along the cane road..
